In this excerpt from Beyond the Scalpel Podcast, Dr. Rick Warren shares his experience with one of the first liposuction cases in Canada. Modern liposuction was developed by a French surgeon in the 1970s and was done in the US in the late ’70s. Dr. Warren was one of the first to do it in Canada in the early 1980s. It was so early, there were no machines for this at that time and he had to help develop his own machine! I love hearing these stories from such distinguished surgeons who pioneered techniques that were just developing.
