Dermal Filler in London Ontario

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?

Soft tissue fillers are a minimally invasive, injectable treatment option that can help restore lost volume in the face and create a rejuvenated appearance. As we age, we naturally experience volume loss and thinning, which consequently leads to more hollow and deep-appearing features. This ultimately creates shadowed areas that people may perceive as signs of aging and a loss of energy.

Some fillers, such as Juvederm and Revanesse, are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced by your body and found in soft connective tissues, cartilage and joint and eye fluids. These fillers are injected precisely to gently restore the lost volume, support facial tissues, and pull moisture to the upper layers of your skin. Dermal fillers can effectively achieve a balanced and youthful definition of the face.

Dermal Filler FAQs

What are dermal fillers used for?

At Yazdani Aesthetics, our advanced injectors use dermal fillers to restore lost facial volume, smooth out lines and wrinkles, and enhance structural symmetry without surgery. Some of our most popular applications include:

  • Restoring youthful fullness to the cheeks, chin, and mouth area
  • Plumping and redefining the lips with specialized lip filler injections
  • Filling deep nasolabial folds and contouring the jawline or chin
  • Rejuvenating depleted, tired-looking hands and smoothing out the overall skin surface
  • Addressing specific therapeutic or cosmetic concerns, such as lifting drooping corners of the mouth, smoothing out a nasal profile, or correcting a gummy smile

How long do dermal fillers last?

Dermal fillers are temporary, and their longevity depends heavily on the specific formulation used, the area treated, and your body’s natural metabolism. Most hyaluronic acid fillers used at Yazdani Aesthetics, such as Juvéderm® and Revanesse®, typically last between 6 to 12 months in highly mobile areas like the lips, and up to 9 to 18 months in areas with less movement like the cheeks or jawline. During your personal consultation, our experienced injection team will help outline individual expectations for your treatment plan.

What is the difference between dermal filler and BOTOX®?

While both are highly effective, non-surgical treatments provided at our clinic, they address signs of aging in fundamentally different ways:

  • Dermal Fillers: Designed to physically fill in folds, restore lost volume, and lift sagging tissues. They are typically made from hyaluronic acid to plump the skin and pull moisture to its upper layers.
  • BOTOX®: A neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes the underlying muscles responsible for dynamic expression lines (such as forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet) rather than adding physical volume.

Our Royal College-certified surgeons and aesthetic nursing team often combine both treatments strategically to achieve an optimal, fully refreshed, and natural result.

How much do dermal fillers cost in London, Ontario?

The total investment for a dermal filler treatment varies depending on the brand of filler selected, the specific area being treated, and the total volume (number of syringes) required to meet your aesthetic goals. At high-end, safety-first clinical practices in Ontario managed under the expert medical leadership of Royal College-certified plastic surgeons, premium dermal filler treatments generally range from $600 to $900+ per syringe. Yazdani Aesthetics provides transparent, exact pricing tailored directly to your custom care plan during your initial consultation.

Is lip filler painful?

Most patients describe the sensation of lip filler injections as a mild stinging or pinching feeling rather than true pain. To maximize your comfort throughout the quick, non-surgical procedure, our specialized team can apply a prescription-strength topical numbing cream to the treatment area beforehand. Additionally, the premium filler options we select for our London clinic are pre-formulated with a local anesthetic to gently numb the tissue from the inside out as the treatment progresses.

Is there downtime after dermal filler?

There is virtually no downtime required, and you are free to resume most normal daily activities immediately after stepping out of our London, Ontario clinic. However, to ensure a smooth recovery and stable, optimal results, our team requires that you follow these essential pre- and post-treatment rules:

  • AVOID exercise: Refrain from heavy physical exertion or strenuous activity for the remainder of your treatment day.
  • Handle gently: Do not apply excessive pressure or forcefully rub the treated areas for the first few days. Sleep on your back for the first 1 to 2 nights to avoid accidental facial compression.
  • Manage swelling: Mild redness, firmness, and swelling are completely normal. Visible pinpoint bruising may occur and can take 1 to 2 weeks to fully clear and soften. You may gently apply a cold gel pack or ice to the area without pressing down to help minimize swelling.
  • Avoid alcohol and thinners: To prevent unnecessary extra bruising, do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before or after your procedure.

(Note: For safety reasons, you should not receive dermal fillers if you are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or suffer from any neurological disorders.)
