BOOK CONSULTATIONAbout Our Laser
At Yazdani Aesthetics, our PicoSure Pro® laser utilizes the most advanced technology on the market for tattoo removal. Using ultra-short pulses (one trillionth of a second in length), it hits the ink particle with a pressure so intense, that the ink shatters into tiny dust-like particles. Because the particles are so small, they are more readily absorbed and eliminated by the body. This means better clearance of the tattoo and fewer treatments overall.*
Our PicoSure Pro® laser takes advantage of three different wavelengths, enabling it to target all different ink colours, including reds, yellows and oranges which are known to be most stubborn to remove. Additionally, our expert technician can tailor treatments by using variable spot sizes to remove your tattoo with precision and accuracy.
Radiation Tattoo Removal
The memory of cancer treatments will never be forgotten, but we can help erase the visible reminder. Radiation tattoos can be removed* with our PicoSure Pro® laser faster and easier than other tattoo removal methods. We offer this service complimentary to cancer survivors at any time of the year. Please contact our office to inquire.
*Individual results may vary and are not guaranteed.
Consultation
Just as each tattoo is its own unique entity, the removal treatment process will slightly vary for each individual. The treatment length, number of treatments required, cost and appearance of progress will differ for each patient. Factors such as tattoo size, location, the volume of ink, colours and type of ink used will all influence your treatment plan.
Our expert laser technician will assess your tattoo, along with your unique skin and treatment goals, to give you a better idea of what will be involved in your tattoo removal journey.
Laser Tattoo Removal Pre- and Post-Treatment Instructions
Before Your Treatment
- No sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunless tanning cream for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Sun exposure decreases the effectiveness of laser treatment and can increase the chance of post-treatment complications.
- Use a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with an SPF of 40 or higher. Apply to the treated area every 2 hours when exposed to the sun.
- Remove all makeup, creams or oils on the treatment area prior to your appointment.
Following Treatment
- Cleanse the treated area at least daily with water and mild soap, then pat the area dry.
- Do not rub or scratch the treated area.
- Apply Aquaphor ointment to the area 2-3 times a day.
- It is normal to experience crusting, scabbing and/or blistering around the treated area. It is important that you do not shave or pick the area; keep it moist and let it resolve on its own.
- Apply a non-stick pad over the treated tattoo until it is healed.
- You may experience some discomfort following your treatment. This can be relieved by using cold gel packs and/or by taking acetaminophen/Tylenol.
- Avoid sun exposure to the treated area. Use a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with SPF 40 or higher. Apply to the treated area every 2 hours when exposed to the sun.
- Avoid contact sports or any other activity that could cause injury of the treated area.
- Avoid swimming, soaking or using hot tubs/whirlpools until the skin has fully healed.
- You may wish to wear comfortable, soft clothing that will not irritate the treated area.
- Contact your provider if there is any indication of infection (redness, tenderness, or puss).
How Many Laser Tattoo Removal Sessions Will I Need?
Because every tattoo is completely unique, the number of sessions required varies from patient to patient. On average, most patients require 4 to 10 sessions to achieve full removal using our advanced PicoSure Pro® technology. If you are looking to simply fade or lighten a tattoo to prepare for a cover-up piece, this typically requires significantly fewer sessions, often between 2 to 6 treatments.
During your initial consultation at Yazdani Aesthetics, our expert laser technician will assess your tattoo’s specific size, location, age, ink saturation, and colors to build a personalized timeline tailored directly to you.
Does Laser Tattoo Removal Hurt?
Most patients describe the sensation of laser tattoo removal as feeling similar to a quick snap of a rubber band against the skin or a mild stinging sensation. While individual pain tolerances vary, our PicoSure Pro® technology uses ultra-short picosecond pulses to minimize thermal heat on the surrounding skin, making it substantially more comfortable and better tolerated than traditional older lasers. To ensure your absolute comfort throughout the brief procedure, the Yazdani Aesthetics team can utilize specialized skin-cooling techniques or apply a topical numbing cream to the area prior to starting your session.

Laser Tattoo Removal FAQs
How many tattoo removal sessions will I need?
Most standard tattoos require 4 to 10 sessions for complete removal, spaced approximately 6 to 8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and clear the ink. Fading a tattoo for a cover-up generally takes fewer sessions. The exact number of treatments is dependent on factors like the tattoo’s size, age, depth, location, and ink density.
Can laser tattoo removal remove all ink colours?
Yes. Unlike traditional lasers that struggle with specific pigments, our PicoSure Pro® laser utilizes multiple targeted wavelengths. This enables our technician to successfully break down all ink colors on the spectrum, including stubborn reds, oranges, yellows, greens, and blues, alongside standard black ink.
Can I lighten a tattoo before a cover-up?
Absolutely. If you want to replace an old design with a new piece, you do not need complete removal. Our expert laser technician can selectively lighten your existing ink just enough to create a clean canvas, giving your tattoo artist much more creative freedom for the cover-up artwork.
Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
The sensation is often compared to an elastic band snapping against the skin accompanied by a flash of heat. Because our picosecond laser relies on pressure rather than high heat to shatter ink, it causes significantly less discomfort than older laser technologies. We also offer skin-cooling methods and topical numbing options to maximize your comfort.
How much does laser tattoo removal cost in London, Ontario?
The investment for laser tattoo removal depends strictly on the overall size, complexity, and ink density of the tattoo, as treatments are priced per session. According to clinical pricing guidelines for premium picosecond technology, smaller tattoos typically start around $150 to $250 per session, while larger or multi-colored pieces cost more. Yazdani Aesthetics provides a transparent, exact per-session quote during your custom consultation.
What should I avoid before laser tattoo removal?
To ensure a safe and effective session, our medical team requires that you follow these pre-treatment rules:
- Avoid sun exposure: Absolutely no direct sun exposure, tanning beds, or sunless tanning creams for 4 weeks prior to your appointment.
- Protect the skin: Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 40 or higher daily.
- Keep it clean: Remove all topical makeup, lotions, creams, or oils from the treatment area before arriving at our clinic.
What should I avoid after laser tattoo removal?
To promote optimal, non-surgical healing and prevent any skin complications, you must strictly adhere to our post-treatment guidelines:
- Do not pick or scratch: It is normal to experience mild crusting, scabbing, or blistering. Let the skin resolve on its own, keep it moist with Aquaphor ointment, and avoid shaving the area.
- Avoid water submersion: Do not go swimming, soak in a bath, or use hot tubs/whirlpools until the skin has completely healed.
- Avoid sun and irritation: Keep the area completely shielded from the sun, avoid contact sports that could cause skin friction, and wear soft, loose clothing to prevent irritation.
